- All patrol officers are trained and certified in defensive tactics, ASP Tactical Baton/Side Handle Baton, Taser, and OC Pepper Spray. These tools are utilized to lessen the probability of injury to a suspect and/or the officer compared to Firearms. All officers are trained and certified by State of Texas Standards in all weapons or tools carried.

 Lt. Tony Mendez is the Patrol Supervisor for the Littlefield Police Department. Lt. Tony Mendez has 7 years experience in Law Enforcement. Lt. Mendez served as corrections officer for 2 1/2 years before joining the Littlefield Police Department in December of 2003. Lt. Mendez is certified through TCLEOSE in ASP Tactical Baton, Oleoresin Capsium Spray and for deployment of the Taser. Lt. Mendez is also trained in performance of the SFST (Standardized Field Sobriety Test). Lt. Mendez is originally from Anton, Texas.

 Sgt. Garcia currently holds TCLEOSE certification as a Basic Peace Officer, as well as a Jailer. He has been in law enforcement for 5 years. He is trained in use of Oleoresin Capsium Spray, as well as deployment of the Taser. Sgt. Garcia is also trained in the conduction of the SFST (Standardized Field Sobriety Test). Sgt. Garcia has been with the department since April 2006, and is a native of Cotton Center, Texas.

Corporal Kara Wilson, K9 Officer

 Cpl. Wilson joined the Littlefield Police Department in September of 2005. Cpl. Wilson has 9years of law enforcement experience. She is trained in the conduction of the SFST (Standardized Field Sobriety Test). Cpl. Wilson is certified in the deployment of the Taser.

 Cpl. Cruz currently holds TCLEOSE certification as a Basic Peace Officer, as well as a Jailer. He has 6 years of law enforcement experience. He is trained in use of Oleoresin Capsium Spray, as well as deployment of the Taser. Cpl. Cruz is also trained in the conduction of the SFST (Standardized Field Sobriety Test). Cpl. Cruz has been with the department since August 2005, and is a native of Dimmitt, Texas. |

 Officer Carrasco currently holds TCLEOSE certification as a Basic Peace Officer. He has been in law enforcement for 3 years. He is trained in use of Oleoresin Capsium Spray, as well as deployment of the Taser. Officer Carrasco is also trained in the conduction of the SFST (Standardized Field Sobriety Test). Officer Carrasco has been with the department since May 2007, and is a native of New Deal, Texas.

 Officer Buddy Holmes has three years of law enforcement experience. He currently holds TCLEOSE certification as a Basic Peace Officer and a Jailer. He is trained in use of Oleoresin Capsium Spray, as well as deployment of the Taser. Officer Holmes is also trained in the conduction of the SFST (Standardized Field Sobriety Test). Officer Holmes has been with the department since September 2007.

 Officer Chad Mabry currently holds TCLEOSE certification as a Basic Peace Officer. Officer Mabry is also trained in the conduction of the SFST (Standardized Field Sobriety Test). He is trained in use of Oleoresin Capsium Spray, as well as the expandable baton. Officer Mabry has been with the department since September 2007, and is a native of Lubbock, Texas. |

Officer Kevin Bartlett holds TCLEOSE certification as a Basic Peace Officer. He is trained in the use of Oleoresin Capsium Spray, as well as the deployment of the Taser. Officer Bartlett has been with the department since August 2008, and is a native of Shallowater, Texas. |

 Officer Ernie Morin has been in currently holds TCLEOSE certification as an Advanced Peace officer, as well as Jailer and Dispatcher. He has been in law enforcement for about 15 years. He is trained in the conduction of the SFST (Standardized Field Sobriety Test). Officer Morin also holds a certification for Firearms Instructor. Officer Morin has been with the Department since June 2009.
